Co-Founder Maggie Bartley has a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Towson University and a Master's Degree from John's Hopkins University. She taught History and Government for 26 years in the Montgomery County (Maryland) Public School System. As a volunteer, Maggie is the Vice President of the Board of the Essex County Historical Society, on the board of the Elizabethtown Thrift Shop, and a member of the Elizabethtown Kiwanis Club. In government, she is a member of the Elizabethtown Zoning Board of Appeals, a member of the Elizabethtown Board of Assessment Review, a former Election Inspector, served for six years as the Vice Chair of the Essex County Democratic Committee, was elected as Chair of that Committee in September 2018, and was the Town Supervisor of Elizabethtown from 2012-2013. Maggie is the President of North Country Women United.
Co-Founder Jordanna Mallach joined the Harrietstown Democratic Committee in 2015 and was voted Vice-Chair of the Franklin County Democratic Committee in 2018. Under Jordanna’s leadership the Harrietstown Democratic Committee has increased voter registration and voter turnout throughout the county. Jordanna was elected to the Harrietstown Town Council in 2017 unseating a long-term incumbent. She unsuccessfully ran for Sheriff in 2018, winning her primary but falling short in the general election. Recently she was appointed to the DNC’s Veterans and Military Families Council as the Upstate NY Coordinator. She enlisted in the Army National Guard in 2002, serving three years on active duty with the guard as an enlisted soldier before commissioning as an Engineer officer in 2005 through ROTC. She served as an Engineer Platoon Leader on a Southwest Border Mission in 2007. Jordanna deployed to Afghanistan in 2010 as a Brigade Supply and Services Officer and in 2011 was mobilized in support of Hurricane Irene. Currently she is a MAJ, assigned as a Senior Instructor in the 3-124 Information Operations Battalion in Northfield, VT. Ms. Mallach is a graduate of Columbia High School in Maplewood, NJ and Union College of Schenectady, NY. She earned a BA in Political Science and Secondary Education. She currently lives in Saranac Lake with her husband and 11 year old daughter Cayla, as well as Desmond the beagle, Twinkle the turtle and Prince the fish. Jordanna is the Vice-President of North Country Women United.
Co-Founder Kimberly Davis grew up in Springs, NY and served in her first role in government as an Assessor for the Town of East Hampton in 2000-2001. In 2002, she moved to the North Country. She graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh magna cum laude with Bachelor's Degrees in Business Marketing and Philosophy and earned the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence. Kimberly worked for a local community bank from 2008-2013 when she left her position as Branch Manager to run for Clinton County Treasurer. She was elected in 2013 and was re-elected in 2017. She has completed the County Government Institute certification from the NYS Association of Counties. She is a former Vice Chair of the Clinton County Democratic Committee and was awarded the Harold Brohinsky Committeeperson of the Year for her work on behalf of Committee. Kimberly joined Kiwanis in 1997 and is an active member of the Plattsburgh Noon Kiwanis Club. She is a Distinguished Past President and, was Lt. Governor of the Adirondack Division in 2014-2015 and 2018-2019. She has served as the NY District Chair for the Kiwanis Children's Fund, and as a NY District Advocate for The Eliminate Project (Kiwanis worldwide service project to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus), and the NY District Board Representative to the NY District Foundation Board. Kimberly is also a member of the Dean's Advisory Council of the School of Business and Economics at SUNY Plattsburgh and was awarded the "Distinguished Trailblazer Award" at the 2018 Women of Distinction Awards by the Girl Scouts of Northeastern NY. Kimberly serves as the Secretary/Treasurer of North Country Women United.
